We have two types of top controls available. Firstly our popular Kernow and Eston Electric Suites are available with controls conveniently mounted on the top right side of the mantel leg. Alternatively our Comet, Fazer and Vitesse electric fires all feature controls located on the top right side on the fire. Both control options are ideal for elderly or infirm residents where standard controls may prove difficult to operate.
Running costs can be calculated using the formula below, however they will ultimately depend upon the electric tariff of the customer.
electric tariff (per kW hour) x input power = running cost per hour click HERE to see an example.
For example to calculate the cost of the heat settings, based on a tariff of 10p per kWh multiplied by the high heat setting requiring an input power of 2kW would equal a cost of 20p per hour.
Therefore, on the low heat setting requiring an input power of 1kW, the cost would equal 10p per hour.
The same formula applies when using the flame effect only. Based on a tariff of 10p per kWh multiplied by the input power requirement of the low.
