Jeans for Genes

Be Modern overdo it in denim for Jeans for Genes Day.

Be Modern head office staff proudly donned their denim in support of Jeans for Genes day 2016.

Jeans for Genes is a fundraising and awareness campaign organised by Genetic Disorders UK. The charity estimates that 1 in 25 children are affected by a genetic disorder today, meaning “in the UK, 30,000 babies and children are newly diagnosed each year and more than half a million children and adults are living with a genetic disorder”. They work to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by genetic disorders by sharing combined experiences, knowledge and understanding.

The money raised on Jeans for Genes day is used to launch more support services, provide resources for schools, and funding for those in need through donations to other disorder-specific charities.

Be Modern raised £95 in support of this vital work, and had great fun doing it – why not give it a go next year and #overdoitindenim.
